Meet Crystal

As a community servant and activist, Crystal Lyte has fought long and hard for the values and rights of others.

Crystal was born and raised in Ypsilanti, MI. She attended Willow Run Community Schools through high school prior to moving on to Washtenaw Community College and Eastern Michigan University, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in the English Language.

Crystal is a devoted wife, proud mom of two, loyal employee of Michigan Works Southeast/Washtenaw County, and committed community servant. She is also the newly elected Chair of Eastern Washtenaw Democratic Club (EWDC), Co-Chair of Washtenaw County Democratic Party's Visibility, Outreach, Involvement, and Community Engagement Committee (VOICE), and a member of Michigan Works Southeast Expungement/Clean Slate Committee. Through all of this, Crystal has demonstrated her involvement and community investment in Washtenaw County!

As a resident of Superior Township, Crystal aims to improve the lives of its citizens by connecting with them on a personal level and advocating for the issues that matter to the community.

Crystal is eager to advocate for, learn about, and lead District 2!
